along for an introductory informal chat before attending your first
group.
H1N1 (Swine) Flu and HIV
Health Authorities in the United States have issued guidance concerning swine flu and people with HIV. Due to the limited data on swine flu, some of the guidance is based upon what is known about seasonal outbreaks of flu in people with HIV.

Prevention: There is currently no vaccine against the human form of swine flu that is causing infections. Prevention therefore relies on routine control procedures for flu. These include:
Using a tissue to cover the mouth and nose when sneezing and coughing. This should then be disposed correctly.
Frequent hand washing
Staying home if ill (except to see medical support)
We would request that you consider the wellbeing of our fellow clients, if feeling unwell not to come in to the Centre and avoid unnecessary social contact in crowded places.
While we will keep this page updated as new information becomes available, contact your Dr or your clinic if you are unsure/require specific health information.
It can be difficult to keep up to date with all the various groups, events and activities which happen within Positive East.
So to make life easier we've introduced a calendar page.
We hope you find it of use.
